O hai!
Excuse DECADES LONG posting-absence (and by decades, I mean nearly four months. DECADES).

1. It is summer!
2. and I am back from uni!
3. =DDDD

Because I'm having an insanely creative week (WHY IS THIS?), but also mostly because there's no real point to this post otherwise, you get art today! I don't do art, as a rule, so this is fairly novel. But I've been working for-real on my constant WIP (the four-book series I've been planning since I was twelve) and I needed something to look at, so this is Leon and Cevair from the first book/prequel ('The Stained Glass Window Sequence').

I promise I'm better at writing than I am at drawing T__T.

( At least, I really hope I am. )

Quality is horrible as I don't have a scanner and just stood over and photographed it. Please can artistic people on my f-list tell me what human beings are supposed to look like? Apparently I don't know. And if someone wants to draw in some shoulders, DO IT. UGH, SHOULDERS, WHAT IS THE POINT.

Glossing over the fact that I haven't posted in three or four months --- OK, OK, I CAN'T. I'M SORRY. I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY. I FAIL. But in my defence, I've been having internet TRAVESTYS. (And why is it that whenever I try to write the word 'travesty' my fingers try to automatically type 'transvestite'? Do I type 'transvestite' particularly often? I didn't think so. Has anyone ever noticed that?)

But yeah, I have actually had loads of stuff going on (ooh get me, with my life and my 'actually's. I disgust myself).

FOR EXAMPLE:

 

ALSO (I'm in the mood for dancing caps-lock) I got my English Lit AS-level remark score back today! Some people might remember that I got full marks in one unit, just under full marks in another, and a C in the last. SAY WHAT. So I got my C remarked, and I got it back today.... and it is now an A!!! It's gone from 69 to 84 out of 90. So HUZZAH for that (and evil thoughts to stupid markers in the first place ^__^)

The other point of this post was to say HAPPY EIGHTEENTH BIRTHDAY TO CATH (Cath is the only person who ever has birthdays, according to my LJ). I have a present for you below, and I was kind of proud of it... but then I finally got up to date on livejournal and saw your post with all the amazing things people did for you on it. And now I'm kind of ashamed of this X__X. But it's this or nothing, and I spent just under five hours on it, and IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS, or so I'm told. So.

Wheesh, so much stuff to say. Cue about five trillion LJ cuts, my friends.

+ I AM DYING. Don't be alarmed. But I'm snotting up blood, and my right ankle's twisted, and my left knee's swollen after I had an allergic reaction to a flea bite (FLEAS, FLEAS, WHERE ON EARTH DID I GET A FLEA FROM? BLOODY DOG), and I've got a horrible cough, and achy head, and had no sleep, and ALL SORTS, BASICALLY. So I've been fairly miserable. I shook it off yesterday to go to my friend Ni's birthday meal, and I got away with it then but I'm paying for it now. Eurgh =[

I've just leaned out of the skylight in question and brought a handful of snow in (it's snowed more since these photos were taken) and put it on my desk to oversee the rest of this post XD It's currently melting all over my Deja Entendu CD case, but IT'S A SMALL PRICE TO PAY.

+ Finally; I wasn't going to let people read it, but I think Cath has pretty much pimped out Mirror, Mirror (my NaNoNovel) to everyone so I might as well say- Chapters Three and Four are now up at the journal magicmirror_x 

ARGH, ARGH, I JUST BIT THE SNOW; WHY, WHY?? MY TEETH ARE BLEEDING.

PS: Just cause I can't resist showing off- I've started learning Japanese! Currently teaching myself with a programme I downloaded onto my computer, but I'm hoping to find a proper course cause I get worried I'm doing something wrong and no one can tell me. But it's the COOLEST LANGUAGE EVERRR!! I'm only speaking it and writing it romanicized, not the actual kanji and confusing stuff. But EEEE, I love it! And I know how to say 'I'm the princess', which is obviously the most important phrase I'd need to know in Japan XD

^^ Lily/James Tablet art ^_^. Yeah, I know James looks like Harry, but... bah. Look at Lily's hand!! I know it's too small, but other than that it's my favourite bit of the picture, heh. Also she looks like she's trying to punch James in the stomach in her sleep. Hmm. She probably is.

(Got to love a cupcake recipe book, haven't you?)

Firstly, MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my f-list for yesterday, hope you all had a fabulous day xD I did, despite answering my mobile early in the morning and being met with my friend Leah bellowing down the line, 'BOY! WHAT DAY IS THIS??' (this is a psychology class tradition; I am required to shout back, 'TODAY? WHY, TODAY IS CHRISTMAS DAY!!') However, it was very early on Christmas Day, so my answer was more along the lines of, 'WHAAA? WhatthefuckingLeahCHRISTMAS-mffblerg' (the 'mffblerg' was when I collapsed back into my pillow).

Anyway, things did improve after that, haha. AND I GOT A TABLET, FOR MY COMPUTER!! YAYYY!! ♥ C'est the best thing ever xD I have named her Belle, after Belle from Beauty and the Beast (I just wrote 'Belly' then for some reason, haha), due to me sitting shouting, 'YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL' at it when I first tried it out. So you can await tablet art in my next post! (Which will probably be for New Year)
